Few things capture fun in the sun like the music of the Beach Boys. Filled with images of surfboards, woody automobiles, and California, their tunes have inspired the world of design as well.
The San Francisco Examiner said the woody is an icon of California style. Below is a Ford circa 1950–the last model made with real wood. Young surfers like the Beach Boys bought the wagon in the late 1950’s, after the wagon was out of fashion. The large, inexpensive car was just the right size for surfboards and pals.
Surfboards are used today as interior accents. CA Home + Design demonstrated how surfboards can be used in a feminine or masculine space.
In keeping with this distinctive and energetic look are Rugs by Cottage & Bungalow.
The rug is available in Hawaiian Turquoise and Navy.
Needless to say, Beach Boys Style is fun, fun, fun!
