Now is the time to go visit The 2011 Coastal Living Ultimate Beach House. This year’s Ultimate Beach House is located in East Beach — a waterfront community in Norfolk, Virginia. East Beach is designed and built in the tradition of Atlantic Coastal villages. The community embraces the latest building trend called new urbanism where the atmosphere promotes a healthy lifestyle and strong community.
An extensive network of sidewalks encourages walking and the village’s proximity to shops, schools and the beach encourages walking as well. A network of parks also encourage families to get outside and be active.
The developers designed the homes to create a sense of community. The homes are sited to encourage neighborly interaction as are the many front porches and communal open space.

Dates: Open for public touring from July 29, 2011 – November 27, 2011
Times: Wednesday – Saturday 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Sunday 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Admission: $10 per person. Tickets can be purchased on-site. A portion of the proceeds will benefit St. Mary’s Home for Disabled Children.
