This month’s featured coastal homes takes us to the Hamptons in New York. The gracious home was designed by SFA Design in Santa Barbara and was recently featured on the blog House of Turquoise. The home is stands out with its thoughtful design and close attention to detail.
Our initial thoughts were that this home was more formal than most beach homes we feature. The home’s polish defintiely gives an air or formality to the space. However, comfortable furnishings, plenty of soft pillows and a practical furniture lay-out result in a home is ultimately guest and family friendly.
The home’s color palette is comprised of soft blues and warm neutrals so the home feels light and airy. These colors are classic coastal colors reflecting the nearby ocean and sandy beach.
