We had a wonderful time at High Point Market last week checking out the latest designs in home furniture and accessories! While there were plenty of new trends to take in, four in particular caught our attention. Today, we want to give you a glimpse at these trends and, in the next few weeks, we’ll share more about each.
Gold is back in a big, bold and shiny way! It can be found in furniture accents, accessories, lighting and more in a variety of finishes and textures.
Speaking of textures… High Point was covered in textures this season. The whole show was a tactile experience with pieces featuring woven rope, shells, faux shagreen and other textures inviting you to “touch.”
We were also inspired by the steam punk look, which puts a clever and interesting spin on the use of metals and semi-industrial items like Edison bulbs and piping in lighting. These were combined with other finishes and accents for a fresh new look.
Coastal influences could be spotted in every collection as well, from ornate Currey screens to shelled mirrors and more! We especially loved the Campaign-style pieces in bold navy, white, green and red lacquer. We’ll be adding two new collections soon, so stay tuned for more!
We’ll have more to share on each of the trends we spotted at High Point soon, so keep a close watch on the Cottage & Bungalow blog for more!
