The bleakness of winter will soon be over and nature will be filled with lots of beautiful colors. As spring approaches, we’re being drawn to softer shades like those found in Farrow & Ball’s Key Colors for 2013. We love these colors because reflect the color of sand, seashells, and the ocean, as well as some of our favorite seaglass shades. Take a look below to read more about these gorgeous hues.
Black Blue is the most dramatic of these colors and works amazingly well as a contrasting accent to colors such as Middleton Pink and Blackened, creating a timeless appearance.
French Gray is a versatile color that provides a feeling of elegance wherever it is applied. You can use it in interior ranging from traditional to contemporary without a problem. Farrow & Ball has chosen to pair it with Hardwick White and Hound Lemon to create a more “edgy” neutral palette.
Stone Blue gives off a cozy, almost sentimental feeling that the ocean often provides. It works well as an accent color in coastal homes and can be combined with green tones, such as the light apple green below, for a warm, cheerful look.
Cornforth White is a subtle shade of gray can help improve the light and flow of your home when paired with other colors with similar undertones. We like it because it happens to mirror the look of shells that lie on the beach.
