While they may seem insignificant and unnecessary, end tables are essential pieces for any home where entertaining is bound to happen – whether it’s a cozy vacation home on the coast or a quaint cottage on the lake. End tables serve as an inconspicuous space to place lamps or drinks next to your couches or sofa chairs, while also bringing balance to the living space. If you’re not quite sure how to select the right end table for your space, below are three fabulous tips we’ve recently come across that are certain to be helpful.
The Arm Rest Rule –The surface of the end table should be no taller than the arm of the chair or couch. It should either be equal to the height or slightly below it.
